Titles. Who Really Cares Anyway?

On my earlier post I described myself as Wiccan. Only recently have I thought about discarding that title due to recent online drama. There are some Wiccans and some non-wiccan Pagans that have been behaving very badly on YouTube. You see, they are prejudiced against anyone calling themselves a Christian Wiccan. Even after valid points have been made they refuse to accept it as valid. Not to mention the fact that much of Wiccan rituals were originally taken from Christian or Jewish influenced rituals. Then they go on to say that Christian Wiccans are mixing pantheons and that they are dishonoring and diluting the faiths by combining the two. Some Pagans have even said that by mixing pantheons they are dishonoring the culture the religions come from. I hate that I even have to say this obvious shit but cultures are always mixing when they have access to each other. These people have ignorance that is beyond measure. Or maybe it's just stupidity. That is why I have been thinking about dropping the Wiccan title or even calling myself Pagan. Maybe I'll make up my own cult and call it The Wiked Religion. And make it where only wiked bitches and bastards like myself may join. So anyway, I haven't decided yet on what I'm gonna do. For now, I'm still Wiccan. But, who really cares anyway? It's just a title. It does help describe yourself or let people know quite a bit about you without saying a whole lot. But I don't want to be associated with some of these Wiccans that I have seen on YouTube. If I see more of it, then I probably will drop it, but for now I'll just keep the title Wiccan and see what happens.
